Golden Omega’s laboratory relied on manual formats and diverse record-keeping systems that required consolidation and verification. Although effective, these methods demanded intensive supervision, consumed valuable time, and increased the risk of transcription errors.

According to the team, manual laboratory management involved repetitive tasks that wasted time and increased the risk of errors, so they knew they needed a shift towards more digital and efficient management.

To overcome these challenges, Golden Omega implemented myLIMS, a modern SaaS Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) designed to integrate analytical workflows and ensure total traceability.

With myLIMS, the laboratory integrated its analytical instruments and digitized its sampling process using a low-code mobile application. Each analytical method is parameterized step by step — if a procedure is not fulfilled, the system automatically prevents the process from continuing.

“myLIMS allows us to ensure that each stage of the analysis is executed according to procedure. That avoids errors and maintains the quality of the result,” says Luis Navarrete, Deputy Quality Manager.

Digitization strengthened Golden Omega’s management system and enabled continuous compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, with faster audits and real-time access to digital evidence.
